How-to Decorate a Gorgeous Flocked Christmas Tree with Dried Flowers and Foraged Materials

I am completely obsessed with our Christmas tree this year! I’m usually not a huge holiday decorator but I think that has changed. My friend Chelsie, owner of Flower Child Floral came over and created the loveliest Christmas Tree I have ever seen. It’s also my first year having a flocked tree! I don’t know if I will ever have a regular one again! It’s a lot different than the pink tree we had last year.

I got our tree at a local garden center called Berry Fresh Farms in Brick NJ. They have pre-flocked trees but we actually picked one out and had them flocked it. The process took them about a week which seems like a lot of time but they had to spray it and let it dry before we picked it up.

    Materials:

    Lights

I went to Christmas Tree Shops and Home Depot for the lights. I ended up buying clear lights with a white wire. I thought the white wire would look best with the flocking.

    Ornaments

I went simple with the ornaments. They’re all from Michael’s and At Home. I went with all different tones of white and champagne colors. I wanted to make sure the florals stood out and not the ornaments. I also found GOLD hooks at At Home and I love them!

    Dried Lace Cap Hydrangeas

These are beautiful dried and they last forever. You can find these in your yard, in your  neighbors yard or in some random neighborhood. Travel with hedge clippers, friends. JK you didn’t hear that from me.
These specifically were cut out of Chelsie’s back yard so don’t call the cops, k?

    Troll Hair

The troll hair is the really light colored soft pieces. It literally looks like troll hair and a little glowwy 🙂

    Pampas Grass

This one is all of our favorite. The pampas grass. Again you can find this out in nature or at your local garden center / floral shop.

    Neon Pink Bunny Tails

Those are the little neon pink pieces. They’re adorable and add a touch of color. You can also use these in wreaths too!

    Soft Pink Ghost Ferns

These are precious and so delicate. They add a touch of pink in the most perfect way.
