I’ve been seriously dying for a new sofa since we moved into our new house 4 years ago. We finally have our beautiful new Serafina sofa! It took me a little while to really decide A) what kind of look I was going for and B) to train my doggies to respect the sofa. I recently fell in love with Bassett’s new MODERN collection and I have a feeling you’re going to too. I really can’t believe the difference our Bassett furniture made in our living room and all of the pieces aren’t even here yet!
Our sofa before this one looked nice on Instagram but it was the furthest thing from nice. We kinda cheaped out — I went on Craigslist. Yes, Craigslist. Don’t get me wrong Craigslist can be a great place to find furniture. However, sofas are something I just wouldn’t suggest. They’re never in the greatest condition if you’re looking to use it as your everyday sofa. The one we got ended up being a custom piece, well made from a local store. It was pretty and mid-century style….. but the lady forgot to mention she had a cat. It started to smell like kitty cat after a little while if you know what I mean. I think it’s way better to invest in a nice sofa that will last the years instead of cheaping out.

I have to say for myself that our new sofa is SO comfy and SUCH good quality.
We’re also waiting on the new Maren chairs that didn’t come in yet. They’re kinda amazing. I almost fainted when I saw them.
I’m really excited about getting the chairs and finishing off the living room! I can’t wait to share photos with you guys! I’ll be sure to post on Instagram when I get them.

I LOVED the shape and style of the sofa but if I could go back I would change the fabric. It pilled pretty easily. I wish I could remember which fabric I got. Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying whatever sofa you got lol!
